100 Days of Gratitude Challenge: 19/100 Days

Low Poly Wild West

I am grateful for:

  1. I got to view the guest house in the back of the house, that I might be moving into in a few months. It’s bigger then my old place and it has a real but small kitchen.
  2. I was able to get work done despite family draining 8 hours from me today, to get things they wanted done. They really don’t get that I’m working at home and think it’s ok just to text me that they are coming in when they arrive at my door.
  3. That I still have my Skype account that I never use. Since my uncle kept on needing my cell phone to call, I reset an old iPhone laying around and set it up to use my Skype account for him to call and receive calls with.
  4. Not snapping at my family.  They are driving me nuts because they don’t respect any bounders I have put up.  Doesn’t matter how many times I have told them.
  5. Changing the lock on the hallway gate to the bedrooms. I thought it was weird that my deceased uncle put it in the hallway but dealing with the family going though my stuff and walking into my bedroom when they feel like it, I know why he put it in.

I am Grateful for:

  1. The challenging days because I know there are lessons in them, and they are growing me to be stronger in the path that I am meant to be on.
  2. Coding. I realize how much I love talking about coding when I’m not imadated.  I was talking to a designer about how I’m trying to figure out when the :nth-child() Selector on when I can use it. Been trying to shove it into things as much as I can to see how far I can push it into things, and I had to stop myself when I realized he had a blank look on his face for a while.
  3. GA’s free lecture tonight. The speaker was a first time speaker and it really showed. She is a gifted intuitive typography and designer. You can see it was sort of a struggle for to put it all in words because it was very intuitive in her head for her. I have the same issue with a lot of things I create, and the processes that I figure out.  I’m working on being able to express things  more orally both in written and verbal.
  4. Free use of Luxe. Decide to take GA up on their free code to use Luxe, Uber like Valet Service, for the lecture tonight. It worked pretty good expect they didn’t explain how close you have to be, before the app would call a valet for you. I kept on toggling causing me to miss the building because instead of send you a voice notification, it sent a simi detail text to me while I was driving. So I didn’t caught it but once I figure it out, it was a breeze. It was nice to have my car pull up as I was walking towards the street.
  5. Good Fried Chicken but I need to stop myself from buying when I’m starving. I really don’t like KFC but it’s near the house and I always regret eating it when I’m done.

100 Days of Gratitude Challenge: 16/100 Days

I am grateful for:

That I’m beginning to be kind to myself. I have to remind myself even through I do not get monetary payment for taking care of my father’s estate, care taking for my uncle’s house, managing my heath but they are jobs. When I open my eyes till I close them, I am reading documents, contacts, researching, and dealing with multiple people and laws from around the world.

Even thought I haven’t been able to get people to the point to sign contacts right now for their sites, I am grateful for the time that I am putting a side for doing my coding lessons.

Been finding little bits of peace, walking around and fixing little things around the house getting it ready to be rent out or sold in a few months. Been researching and looking at lower cost fixes for rental. The backyard is going to be a challenge. I’m going to look into if the house is eligible for the water efficient landscaping and water barrel rebates. I really would like to move the bees in the backyard into a flow hive but that reminds to be seen.

That the people at the Food Court humor me when I talk to them in Chinese. It’s been so long since I’ve used it, but it’s something I need back under my belt.

That I am bless with some amazing friends that I love and adore.

I am grateful for:

  1. I got to spend part of the day with my friend and her kids before she gives birth in a few weeks. It’s nice to see a family so forced on each other.
  2. That my friend told me in time that the Designer Meetup was cancel to turn around.
  3. That I think I can close out my father’s estate this year. Learn a lot of lessons so far. Never thought I would ever have to hire and manage 3 different  lawyers each from a different country, and deal with two foreclosures.
  4. That I’m slowly getting feeling back into my body. I have think I started discounting with it when I was in a lot of pain over two years. Now learning to deal with the pain and emotions to release it.
  5. That I’m getting rid of toxic friends and setting bounders with toxic people that I have to deal with in my life. I really don’t have time for self created drama. Not my circus, Not my monkeys.

  3. The rain and hopefully it will stop when I have to drive in it tomorrow.
  4. Having options in life and being able to create new ones, if the old ones do not work for my current needs.
  5. The simple things in my life: Roof over my head, Food in my belly, and a warm bed to sleep in at night even through I have been having pretty bad insomnia for the past two months.   I am blessed.
