  1. Getting as much as I could done today despite it’s not everything on my list.
  2. Not losing it with the estate issues.
  3. Food in my belly
  4. My bed, yes it’s been one of those days…weeks…months…years…lifetimes.
  5. Going to Photoshop class today, even through I wanted to stay home and get some work done.  We had a challenge of scan ten photos from a magazine and create something using the skills we learn in the past week. I tried to make it into a story but it needs work.

I am grateful that:

My friend in Germany is having a baby girl in a few hours. I told her that she was going to have a baby girl as her next child, a few years ago when she had her 2nd baby boy. She didn’t believe me and told me she was done having kids, that it was my turn to have them.

Thick cut bacon strips…Oh my goodness they are so good. Thank god, I mixed most of them into a veggie dish or I would have eaten the whole package. Bacon Bacon Bacon!!!!

That I had a fun day learning code even thought I strayed from the lesson plan and learn about other code thingies thanks to the black hole of google and the internet.

I dragged my lazy ass body to Mat Pilates class and I spend most of the class poking at the fat on my belly as I struggle with moves I didn’t have an issue with over a year ago.  So it’s a new experience trying to get back to a healthier weight in my life as I am now the heaviest I ever been in my life.  Need to stay away from bacon.

There was slice mango on sale at the Market. I’ve been craving it all day and it came with lime and chili powder. Prefect ending after eating 4 slices of bacon. Little reminders to slow down and enjoy the simple things in life.

  1. Slowly coming to terms, it doesn’t matter what the hell anybody thinks of me anymore.  I’m trying the best I can and I’m going to make mistakes because I’m human. Both in my work and personal life, I need to stop giving myself unrealistic standers and if people are disappoint in me, when I’ve tried my best knowing what I knew at that time, it’s their issue.  I’m a web developer and I am working on my front end web development skills. I’m doing the best I can with what I have in both my work and personal life.
  2. My friends, they are such amazing humans that I’m so privilege to have in my life.
  3. Food in the fridge, which meant that I didn’t have to drive out in the rain and be force to interact with humans after class today.
  4. I wrote a blog that I’m sorta of proud of. I haven’t written one before where, it’s pretty good for where I am at this point of my life. I wrote on the topic “Ten life lessons I learned my first year of WordPress: One.”  It comes out tomorrow. I will be writing one per month. Next month I’m going to challenge myself to write one on some code I learn. It’s going to be hard not to reinvent the wheel but being able to teach it is the main way to know if you really learned something.
  5. I didn’t give up today during my 4 hours of my first ever Javascript class. It seems like everybody besides me in class has used it in some form or anther. My brain stopped working after almost 3 hours and it melted. I was also relieved to find out that normally, this would have been two 2 hour classes.  Over the next few days, I’m going to go back and slowly redo what I learned in class. I am determined to understand it, how it functions, and where it fits into coding.

This all start just being grateful for this one small epiphany just in time to reflect for the coming Chinese New Years.

Had a epiphany driving home from class with my dinner in tow, that I’m really to settle down to start dating, to find a parter to share with my life with.  Said I’ve wanted to start dating again before but I never did it  because there was because there were major issues that always took priority over my life. Now it’s pretty much has been addressed, even thought it’s not settle, but it’s enough to move forward.

  • My career: I know I want to be in the web industry. Now it’s finding my place and getting paid for it as a full time job.  I’m willing to work hard for it as I have continued to learn and build when I can.
  • My home: My housing situation will figure it self out and there isn’t much I can do about it till then.
  • Family: The situations dealing with my father’s estate and family matters will work itself out also.
  • Self: I’ve work on myself a lot since my last unhealthily relationship years ago, and I’m at a point where I am open to share that space to somebody.

Realizing all that, I am grateful that I’m finally starting to be in a good place despite the amounts of stress that I’ve been thought in the past year, and will be dealing with. Still learning to let go of the fear of things I can not control.  I can only deal with things bird by bird when it come for me all at once, and I just need to aspect I am doing my best. Now to meet a man that loves me and accept me, which might be a challenge but it will be well worth it at the end.

  1.  Making it through the day despite all the chaos that is thrown at me.
  2. Being a little more productive, while spending 2 hours at the doctor’s office.
  3. Didn’t lose or gain weight last week. Which is a good thing because I wasn’t eating regularly or well last week but I know that was due to stress.
  4.  I when to my weekly mat Pilates class despite wanting to stay home.  It still hurts a lot in class but I have to remind my self baby steps are better then none.
  5. That I finally got everything I need to try my hand at making Bath Fizzies/Bombs.  I think slowly start to making all my own bath products again, and maybe start selling them when I make them in bulk.

  1. Starting to let go for what I can not control. I know this is a life lesson I keep on battling to learn. I remind myself try not to worry so much because somehow, I always get what I need, not everything I want. Sometimes even when you are able to get things you desire, you are not able to hold on to it because it was never meant to be yours. Just enjoy the moments, they are fleeting but they can last a life time.  It’s up to you to make their as joyful or painful as possible.
  2. Getting a better understanding of PHP as I’m going through my Tree House classes that they updated. One step closer to writing my first very simple WordPress Plungin.
  3. My friends. I love and adore them. I am really blessed to have such amazing friends in my life right now.
  4. I’m slowly getting my strength back in my dance and movement…oh so painfully slowly but I’m doing it.  As I completed six weeks of bi weekly Pilates/Dance Conditioning  and once a week belly dance classes. Hoping to be able to do a simple performance by fall.
  5. Love for myself enough to walk away from a friend that been really toxic towards me for a while, maybe forever.
